Abstract
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems and adaptive learning technologies represents a new frontier for optimizing language learning. AI-powered dialogue systems offer extensive opportunities for interaction within defined contexts, tailored to the learners’proficiency levels, paving the way for interactive and personalized learning. This contribution presents a review of existing studies and explores the theoretical framework underpinning the implementation of AI systems in online learning contexts, highlighting their potential and limitations. The paper concludes with reflections and future perspectives, including those relevant to the field of Italian as a second or foreign language.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
