This article analyzes Kundera's relationship with cinema, the second art (after music) that entered his DNA as a novelist. He does so by retracing for the first time on the basis of a series of extracts from essays and interviews, until now unpublished in Italian, the reasons for the collaboration with director Alain Resnais. There are numerous meeting points between the two authors: among these, the common reference to the compositional forms of music and the importance that both accord to form as a cognitive tool.
Questo articolo affronta il rapporto di Kundera con il cinema, seconda arte (dopo la musica) entrata nel suo DNA di romanziere. Lo fa ripercorrendo per la prima volta sulla base di una serie di estratti da saggi e interviste, finora inediti in italiano, le ragioni della collaborazione con il regista Alain Resnais. Numerosi i punti di incontro tra i due autori: tra questi, il comune riferimento alle forme compositive della musica e l’importanza che entrambi accordano alla forma come strumento conoscitivo.
