The paper is aimed at analyzing some aspects related to the use of the languagein a CLIL class, focusing on some particular features of classroom interaction,which are relevant to the teaching/learning process and to students’ learning outcomes.Some excerpts from classroom interactions will be discussed and analyzedin the framework of Conversation Analysis, highlighting some typical features, suchas the use of questions, the teacher’s register, the corrective feedback, the scaffoldingprocedures. Reflecting on classroom interaction may help CLIL teachers and teachersengaged in CLIL training activities get to a better understanding of the multifacetedaspects of CLIL methodology.
