The contribution proposes a review of the main obstacles faced by students with deafness with reading comprehension and the possible facilities that can be proposed, through the help of ICT. 177 primary and secondary school teachers who attend the specialization course for support activities at the University of Perugia, were involved in an analysis activity of the school textbook, intended as the main tool employed in daily educational activities, through the use of a pre-structured grid. Research has shown that in most cases deaf students have difficulties in school results because they are placed in an inadequate communicative context and in a learning environment, that does not know how to implement strategies individualization and personalization.
