The essay examines the photographic landscape of the film Novecento (1976) by Bernardo Bertolucci interpreted by the author of photography Vittorio Storaro. The movie is the fourth collaboration between Bertolucci and Storaro, it fully represents «that epic of a century of Italian history» and at the same time has marked a long life experience of the two authors, standing out as a milestone of Italian cinema both from the point of photographic view and visual and pictorial representation.
