The Workers’ Winter Games were events organized by the international workers’ sports movement dedicated to winter sports. There were six in total, divided equally between the Workers’ Winter Olympics, organized by the socialist workers’ sport federation (Sasi) and the Winter Spartakiads of the Red Sports International, the Comintern branch responsible for sports. The aim of this article is to review recent studies that have focused on the Workers’ Winter Games, attempting to analyze their impact both in terms of sport and politics.
