In the next few years, the negative impacts of climate change will be increasingly evident. Moreover, the climate crisis is too severe, too big, andtoo urgent to depend only on public institutions and banks’ resources. Indeed, the blending of financial support with public and private funding is fundamental to foster sustainable investment. However, the private sector is generally hesitant to invest in sustainability, as the absence of transparency and clarity does not allow for a complete dialogue between market participants. To encourage this blending and sustainable finance, the technological tool of platforms has a crucial role to play in discussing and raising finance from both the private and public sectors. It is therefore essential to apply a standardized system such as the EU taxonomy to encourage dialogue among stakeholders, raise more “green” financial resources and facilitate work within platforms.
