Il pensiero naturante di Mario Luzi

In 1998 Mario Luzi stated that his entire thought revolves around the concept of naturans, i. e. the recognition of a creative process in action. Drawing from his poetic and critical works, the article aims to verify this assertion, articulated in the first paragraph. In the second, we will observe that the author, following Lucretius and Teilhard de Chardin, interprets the universe like birth and event, portraying it as a womb in which the continuous conception of the whole takes place. In the third, we will analyze how the subject participates in such a condition. Indeed, every individual and especially the poet is immersed in the wellspring flow of reality and contributes to the perpetual genesis and progressive perfection of the cosmos.

Nel 1998 Mario Luzi dichiara che tutto il proprio pensiero consiste nel concetto di naturans, cioè nel riconoscimento di un processo creativo in atto. Attingendo alla sua produzione lirica e saggistica, l’articolo si propone di verificare questa affermazione, esposta nel primo paragrafo. Nel secondo vedremo che l’autore, sulla scia di Lucrezio e Teilhard de Chardin, interpreta l’universo nei termini di nascita ed evento, e lo descrive come un grembo in cui accade il continuo concepimento del tutto. Nel terzo analizzeremo in che modo il soggetto partecipi di una simile condizione. Ogni uomo, infatti, e specialmente il poeta, è immerso nel flusso sorgivo del reale e contribuisce alla genesi perpetua e al progressivo perfezionamento del cosmo.
