H5P is a powerful and versatile plugin tool that enables the creation and sharing of rich HTML5 content and applications for language learning. Exploiting its functionalities, language teachers and learners can access a wide range of interactive and engaging exercises that support various language skills, such as reading, writing, grammar, listening and pronunciation. H5P can also enhance language teaching with interactive video, flashcards, drag and drop, essay and other content types that can be easily embedded in different platforms, such as LMS or eLearning browsers. Furthermore, this tool can be a valuable means to allows users to self-assess their learning by providing feedback and scores for their answers. H5P also offers the possibility of adapting and improving existing content, as well as creating new content from scratch. This paper presents some examples of how H5P can be used effectively in multilingual language education, and highlights the potential of H5P for language learning, as well as some challenges and suggestions for future development. In particular, the paper discusses how H5P can foster learner autonomy, collaboration, creativity and intercultural awareness in language learning contexts. The paper also provides some practical tips and recommendations for teachers who want to use H5P in their language teaching practice. Finally, the paper identifies some limitations and areas for improvement of H5P, such as accessibility, compatibility, quality assurance and data protection.
