This essay aims to submit a mapping of the significant production of films made in Sardinia since the coming into effect of Regional Law n. 15/2006 up to the present day, according to three clearly defined criteria: the first is related to length and allows you to distinguish short films from feature films; the second is associated with the chance of identifying some more widespread genres (drama films and comedies); the third concerns the adoption of particular perspectives from which the events narrated have been observed (the documentary gaze and Sardinia considered as a location for “mainland” productions.
